One of NoVA's favorite New Year's Eve traditions is going drive-through this year!

Experience the sights and sounds of Alexandria's biggest party from the comfort of your own front seat or virtually, at home. That's right, there are two different ways to attend First Night that both involve staying in your pajamas if you don't feel like dressing up!

While we will all miss the epic fireworks over the Potomac, the organizers behind the annual extravaganza have got a treat cooked up for visitors and home viewers alike.

For starters, the show will go on with local musicians, comedians, and highlights of some of the best firework displays from over the years. If you choose to attend in person, just bundle up, load everyone in the car, and buy a pass to watch it on a big screen alongside your friends and neighbors.

Some of the best regional food trucks will be on hand to feed you, or you can always bring your own picnic. Remember, this is a family affair, so alcohol is prohibited and won't be available for purchase.

Watching from home? Your $20 donation will get you a front-row seat to all the action and still support the community programs that First Night is best known for. The best part is, with this virtual viewing option, you can purchase a guest link for someone out of town and still spend New Year's Eve together, watching the show. How's that for a silver lining?

For more information, or to purchase a pass online, visit the First Night Alexandria website. You can also follow along with their Twitter feed for all the latest on the performances, food trucks, and other announcements.
