The show must go on!
It was recently announced that the annual Greeley Stampede fireworks show is still happening this year. The news comes after the 2020 Greeley Stampede had been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement, the Greeley Stampede officials said,
"One of the missions of the Greeley Stampede is to celebrate our independence. There is no better way to do this as a community then the annual fireworks show. The Greeley Stampede will partner with local businesses to continue to provide our community with Northern Colorado’s largest display on Saturday, July 4, 2020. Now more than ever, the community needs this family tradition and opportunity to celebrate our independence and life. For this occasion, we have set a goal to increase the investment in fireworks for a larger, more patriotic fireworks display."
They plan on making this fireworks display one of the largest, in the hopes of lifting spirits and giving the good people of Northern Colorado something to look forward to.
“The fireworks are something we can all enjoy while maintaining safe social distancing across the city," said Justin Watada, Greeley Stampede General Manager. People are encouraged to enjoy the show from their homes.
The Independence Day fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m., but this could change depending on the weather.
