Indulge in all things Parisian at the virtual Georgetown French Market.

We may not be able to browse the colorful stalls and sidewalk sales in Georgetown, but the sentiment is there in this year's virtual French Market. The event will begin at the stroke of midnight on May 1 and run for a whole week until May 8.

You'll find products and treats from local Georgetown vendors and a few surprises thrown in for good measure. Maison de Carine will have handmade face masks for sale, expertly crafted in a variety of sizes. Patisserie Poupon is offering their delicious French breads and pastries with local delivery starting on May 5. Don't forget the selection of French wines at Bacchus!

Do you have a family heirloom that you've always wondered about? During the week of the French Market, you can email a picture of it to [email protected] to be analyzed by Mark Boultinghouse, a local antique dealer and appraiser. While not a formal appraisal, it may shed some light on that old treasure you've got up in the attic!

This is the perfect time to browse through some of the best boutiques in Georgetown, from the comfort of your own home. Ten percent of the proceeds from the event sales will be donated to two of D.C.'s local charities: Martha's Table and Christ Child Community Shop. You can feel good knowing that purchases will directly help feed and provide for local residents.

For more information, or to see a list of all the participating vendors, check out the official Georgetown French Market website.
