When you're done at the beach, explore the local food scene during Ocean City Restaurant Week.

Ocean City Restaurant Week is actually two weeks (April 28–May 11, 2019) of local restaurants offering special prix fixe menus.

Whether you're in town for the Maryland International Kite Festival, the Island-to-Island Half Marathon, the Ocean City Springfest, or the Ocean City Crab Soup Festival, make a point of trying new places or enjoying discounted meals at old favorites. Just be sure to make reservations!

Participating restaurants include BJ's on the Water, Bourbon Street on the Beach, Crab Alley, Happy Jack Pancake House, Mad Fish Bar and Grill, and the Shrimp Boat.

Visit the Ocean City Restaurant Week website for more information including a full list of participating restaurants and their posted menus. Some exclusions (like weekend nights) may apply, so check each listing carefully.

How good are the deals?

Some of the Restaurant Week specials are quite good. There are $10, $20, $30 and $40 menus available across the board, and participants offering significant discounts are marked with GD (for good deals).

This is what I would try:

Breakfast at Layton's on 92nd ($10): The Seafood Scramble is made with fresh shrimp and crabmeat, veggies, and a lovely dill sauce. The whole concoction is then served with hash browns for fruit salad.

Dinner at BJ's on the Water ($30): I'd start with the Maryland Crab Soup, then the Caesar Salad, follow with the Crab Imperial, and finish with Maddy's Famous Peanut Butter Pie. Decadent!

Dinner at Shrimp Boat ($30): Start with a soup and finish with a slice of Key Lime Pie. In between, I'd go for the Sautéed Softcrabs, a seasonal delicacy.
