Colorado's first Shake Shack location's opening date is much closer than we expected -- March 21! Plus, the menu has been released, and it's been modified for the Mile High City's specific tastes.
Shake Shack is slowly taking over Colorado! Between the recent announcement of the restaurant's second Colorado location in Highlands Ranch, a potential outpost at Denver International Airport, and now the release of RiNo location's opening date, I guess you could say we have an unhealthy obsession with burgers -- specifically ShackBurgers. The first Colorado Shake Shack location will open March 21 at 11 a.m. And if the packed pop-up preview event in Denver was any indication on how much Coloradans crave Shake Shack, well, you'll be in for a surprise at the grand opening. So, you know, make sure you plan accordingly if you're gonna be downtown that day, because it's about to be packed!
The burger chain will also be giving Denver some delicious concoctions you can only find in Colorado, including two frozen custard concretes: Pie Oh My (vanilla custard with a slice of seasonal pie) and Glazed Dazed Donut (vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, chocolate toffee, and a slice of banana bread donut).
There will also be an exclusive Green Chile CheddarShack, which is essentially a cheeseburger with marinated green chiles and scallions. And come on, you know you're in Colorado if there's green chile somewhere on the menu.
Oh, and did we mention that Shake Shack will also have beer available? Enjoy drinks from Great Divide Brewing Company, Denver Beer Co., Odell Brewing Co., and more.
