The annual street art festival CRUSH WALLS will take over RiNo and add a pop of color to the walls as graffiti and mural artists leave their marks on the Denver neighborhood.
CRUSH WALLS is set to make a huge return to the streets -- or in this case, walls -- of RiNo for the eighth annual festival. The free festival will span across seven days during the first week of September and feature 77 local and international artists along with off-the-wall events for all ages.
Founded by Denver-based graffiti artist Robin Munro in 2010, the goal of CRUSH was to create an event that not only highlighted the talented artists of the city and across the world, but reflected the diversity of the urban landscape and was a unique voice of the community. And ever since then, CRUSH has done just that, acting as "a catalyst for creative expression and collective gatherings."
When: September 3-9
Where: River North Art District (RiNo)
In order for onlookers to enjoy as the artists paint and work their magic in a single route, a part of 38th (along Brighton Blvd.) to Larimer and 25th Streets will have a shuttle service available. However, if you'd rather walk, a huge chunk of the art will still be in central RiNo between Larimer and Walnut Streets, from 26th to 29th.
