The best weekend of the year is here: Sloth Weekend! Meet and learn all about the sloths at the Downtown Aquarium this Saturday and Sunday, and prepare for an abundance of cuteness!
Two full days are being devoted to all things sloth! Don't miss your chance to meet the Downtown Aquarium's sloth, Aspen, at this year's Sloth Weekend. When: Saturday, Feb. 24 and Sunday, Feb. 25 Where: Downtown Aquarium | 700 Water Street, Denver
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., you can learn all about sloths, participate in fun activities, and even have the chance to meet some of the other animals that are part of the exhibit.
It's important to note that if you'd like the chance to meet Aspen, then you've got to be prepared to get up very early. If you're one of the first 100 people in line by 8:30 a.m., then you'll receive a ticket for a private, hour-long meet and greet with the sloth. This will last from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
And just as a warning, in years' past, people have lined up as early as 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. So make sure you plan ahead.
The good news is that if you aren't one of the 100 lucky people each day of Sloth Weekend, then you can still see Aspen in the Nautilus Ballroom. The sad news is that since "sloths are sloths," he'll likely be asleep during this time.
