Thousands of teachers descended upon the State Capitol for the second "Day of Action." Here are the best signs we saw at Friday's march.

On the second Day of Action, thousands of teachers, all clad in red, marched the Capitol steps to have their voices heard. Colorado teachers joined educators nationwide who have (in recent weeks) put pressure on lawmakers for better education funding. Specifically, Coloradans lobbied the state legislature for improved funding and resources, higher-paying teacher salaries, and PERA pension reform. Colorado currently ranks 46th in the nation for teacher salaries, while maintaining a cost of living that is 12 percent higher than the national average. Read more about Day of Action here.
