Forget the flowers. Forget the jewelry. Get your valentine what they really want this Valentine's Day: heart-shaped boxes of chocolate.
CandyStore.com has released the most popular Valentine's Day candy by state, and for Virginia, apparently, we're really big fans of heart-shaped boxes of chocolate. So if you're looking to get your valentine something special this year, maybe consider a box of assorted chocolates! After all, there's no better way to declare your undying love for someone than with gooey, delicious chocolate. Because, come on, who doesn't like chocolate, especially on Valentine's Day? It's the BEST!
Conversation hearts came in second place, while cupid corn ranked as the third most popular. For those of you who don't know what cupid corn is, it's basically a Valentine's Day version of candy corn. And yes, it's a real thing. Instead of the classic yellow, orange and white colored candy, cupid corn is red, pink, and white.
Over the years, boxes of chocolate always came in first place for many states, but, for whatever reason, conversation hearts has dethroned the classic Valentine's Day candy this year.
