Douglas County has been ranked as the healthiest in Colorado by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Boulder, Broomfield, Eagle, and San Miguel counties ranked within the top five.
Way to go, Colorado! More specifically, way to go, Douglas County. For the
second year in a row, Douglas County has ranked as the healthiest in Colorado, according to
a report by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
The foundation examined counties across the country and looked at various factors like tobacco use, access to health care and exercise, as well as length and quality of life, among others.
Overall, Douglas County hit top marks in each category, taking the No. 1 spot. It was followed by Boulder County, then Broomfield, Eagle, and San Miguel counties. Denver ranked at No. 30 in the state.
