There were eight Colorado semifinalists in the 2018 James Beard Awards. And now that list has been cut down to three.

Last month we announced that there were eight Colorado semifinalists for the 2018 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards. Well, the nominees have been cut down, and three Colorado names have made the shortlist for the finals. The finalists include two Colorado restaurants and one chef. An awards gala will take place in honor of the finalists on Monday, May 7, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Below are the three Colorado finalists: Outstanding Restaurant: Frasca Food and Wine (Boulder) Outstanding Wine Program: The Little Nell (Aspen) Best Chef — Southwest: Alex Seidel of Mercantile Dining & Provision (Denver) View the full list of semifinalists on the James Beard Foundation website. Congratulations to all of the finalists! We hope that Colorado wins big this year. What do you think? Have you been to any of the nominated restaurants? If so, what did you think?
