The "Ninja Nation" gym and fitness center brings the arena experience to life through obstacle courses, similar to those seen on the hit reality competition show, American Ninja Warrior.
The Lafayette location, which opens its doors on June 30, is one of two "Ninja Nation" gym and fitness centers in Colorado. A second location is planned for Englewood, near Centennial Airport, and will open in August 2018.
Founded by Wayne Cavanaugh, Ninja Nation "brings the arena experience to life and makes the sport of obstacle-racing accessible to all ages and skill levels," according to a press release statement. The gym will have American Ninja Warrior veterans in the lead roles of creative, operations, and coaching teams, including Geoff Britten, Jamie Rahn, Brian Arnold, Ryan Stratis, and Karsten Williams.
Ninja Nation is not only focused on physical training but provides "access to a fun, terrific sport that really gives people the opportunity to find the best in themselves -- overcoming challenges, overcoming obstacles, and being part of a community that helps them do that," Cavanaugh said.
Creative Director for Ninja Nation Geoff Britten, who's competed on three seasons of American Ninja Warrior, said:
"As Ninja Warriors, we have all worked with kids and athletes who have been transformed by this sport -- seeing people gain confidence and determination is incredibly powerful. Joining the Ninja Nation team gives us the chance to introduce the sport to even more people in a safe and encouraging environment. There's nothing else like it, and we know you'll be blown away by the experience we've created."
The Lafayette location will include dueling zip-lines, side-by-side courses with island hops, cliffhanger ledges, monkey bars, spider jumps, salmon ladders, a Tarzan swing into a cargo net, tilting traverse boxes, swinging rings, and so much more. Ninja Nation will also create a one-of-a-kind "Sportainment" experience through the use of some of the most advanced technology at its disposal, like audio, video, and lighting equipment.
"Every detail at Ninja Nation has been designed to create a fun and empowering environment where you feel like a superhero in your own video game," said Britten. "You even get to choose your own hero name. And in addition to the killer obstacles, we've developed programs where you earn points for achieving new skills and level up as you progress."
The gym and fitness center offers monthly memberships, open gym, organized classes and events, competitions, birthday parties, and it even has a mobile unit so you can have the obstacle courses come to you!
