Set to open in mid-December, the Gaylord Rockies Resort will be Colorado's largest resort hotel. And in order to run such a massive space, the resort will need to hire more than 1,500 employees.

Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora is nearly finished with construction, which means that it's time to start hiring people to run and operate the massive hotel. General manager Rick Medwedeff has a large task to complete before the end of the year, needing to employ more than 1,500 individuals for a various number of jobs, with managers and sales being the top priorities. Other jobs include security, maintenance, and marketing, among others.

Only three positions are currently listed -- Director of Marketing, Senior Revenue Manager, and Director of Group Sales. More positions are expected to be listed closer to the resort's opening date. A majority of Gaylord Rockies' hires are said to occur in October and November, so they're definitely not giving themselves a ton of room before opening. With such a luxurious and immersive space, Medwedeff needs people to make the hotel a prime vacation destination. And with more than 35 years of resort and hospitality experience under his belt, Medwedeff is certainly the man to find those individuals who will light up the hotel and make it come alive.
