When life gives you lemons, sometimes you have to make a different kind of lemonade.

With social distancing regulations in effect until early June, Virginia towns have to come up with new ways of doing things. The vendors of the Warrenton Farmers' Market quickly adapted an innovative drive-through layout, and local residents love the idea. In fact, 350 cars were counted at the grand opening of the season last weekend!

This Saturday market is now spread out through several blocks of town, starting at Main Street and South 2nd Street. You can use the Black Bear Bistro as a landmark for your GPS.

Visitors drive by slowly, stopping to pick up pre-ordered items from each vendor. There's a passing lane if you don't feel like waiting, and the setup seems to be working well. Vendors are all wearing masks, and products are pre-packaged for easy distribution.

The Saturday market runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for now. Wednesday markets will start up on May 6 and run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. as well.
