Coasters, brews, and BBQ!

With closures and cancellations happening for months due to this year’s global pandemic, Busch Gardens just made all of our hearts a little happier. The Williamsburg park is planning an all-new special event. Called Coasters and Craft Brews, this specially ticketed (and limited) outdoor event is designed to highlight an array of specific aspects of the park, including three roller coasters, Finnegan’s Flyer, local and craft brews, and BBQ.

Coasters and Craft Brews will be open August 6–30 on select days and at specific times.

  • Thursdays: 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.

Tickets for Busch Gardens’ Coasters and Craft Brews event are $44.99 per person. Admission is free for active Members, Annual Pass Holders, and Fun Card Holders. Reservations are required (even for pass holders) and must be made in advance. Visit the Busch Gardens website to purchase tickets. Children under age 3 do not require a reservation or a ticket.

In a press release, Kevin Lembke, president of Busch Gardens Williamsburg, said …

“We want to thank our guests for their patience and are so excited to be able to give them a taste of Busch Gardens Williamsburg when we safely welcome them back to enjoy Coasters and Craft Brews. The health and safety of our guests and employees is our foremost priority and we are working hard to prepare the park for this special event so guests can join us for a fun and safe experience.”

In compliance with Virginia’s phase 3 COVID safety guidelines for reopening businesses, Busch Gardens has implemented enhanced health and safety protocols for cleaning and sanitizing. There will be physical distancing guidelines, face covering requirements, and temperature screenings. Guest capacity will be very limited in an effort to create ample space for guests to enjoy the experience while maintaining a safe physical distance.
