Calling all book nerds! A celebration of reading and writing awaits you at the inaugural Book Fest on May 19, only at the Arvada Center.

If you're a fan of reading and writing, then the Arvada Center's Book Fest could be the festival for you. It's a one-day celebration of all things books (if you couldn't tell by the name) and will include panels and discussions, workshops, and so much more! And, don't worry, there will be plenty of reading material at your disposal. When: May 19, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Where: Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities Passes for the one-day festival are available online and they're really cheap, too -- $5 for adults and $1 for children (ages 3-12). All proceeds go toward Make Art Happen at the Arvada Center.
Guests will have the chance to walk around the exhibit hall to meet with publishers and authors and even get their hands on some rare books and games, among other things. Book Fest will also be host to a keynote speech by New York Times best-selling author Laura Moriarty, author of young adult novels American Heart and The Chaperone.
