Wheat Ridge is a suburb of Denver and is located just west of the city. It is a small town of only 9 square miles but boasts some great restaurants.
Colorado Plus Brew Pub and Tap House- As you would expect they have a fantastic beer selection with 57 Colorado beers on tap. What you wouldn’t expect is a scratch kitchen and they support local farmers. The green chili was phenomenal!
Pierogi Factory- Fast casual Polish food where the star of the show are the pierogies. Cezar the owner is from Poland and in addition to traditional pierogies he makes some unique ones like slow roasted pork. I recommend the Polish Plate that gets you a great sampling of all his delicious food.
Deli Italia- Family owned Italian market & deli featuring meats, cheese, pasta & other groceries, plus pizza & sandwiches. The half meatball half chicken parm sandwich was sandwich perfection.
King Of WIngs- This former food truck opened this past summer and is in the conversation for the best wings in town. They don’t fry their wings, instead they slow grill their wings. My go to sauce is the Bourbon Buffalo.
Grammy's Goodies- Simple, family-owned counter serve offering pan pizza, sandwiches, pasta & homestyle baked goods. It feels like you might see Tony Soprano eating out front. They were on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
